MV Pawara set sail for the first time on February 2006, having been newly constructed by Phuket’s highly experienced ship-builders. ‘Pawara’ means ‘Treasures of the Corals’ and reflects the Thai inspired comforting environment that the liveaboard will provide its guests.

Cabins

The 35 meter MV Pawara is extremely spacious and has two exclusive twin cabins at the fore of the main deck and four standard twin cabins on each of the main and lower decks.

The exclusive cabins are more spacious and have windows abundantly. All cabins have en suite bathrooms. The main deck standard cabins have large windows, whereas those on the lower deck have portholes.


All beds are two meters long, but please note the lower deck cabins have a head room of approximately 180 cm – not suitable for tall people! All cabins have twin beds - there are no double bed cabins.

Pawara is the result of a design that has blended the modern amenities of today's living with the classic Thai craftmanship.

The Lounge

The spacious (more than 35 sq m) air-conditioned lounge is located on the Upper Deck.
Here you can unwind from the full day of diving with a wide selection of indoor board games. TV,  Video,  DVD-player,  CD, Playstation 2 and even Karaoke facilities are provided. Here you'll also find camera and battery charging stations.
A personal computer is also available in the lounge that you can use to burn your digital photos onto CD’s. Fax and internet access are available, depending on location.

The Dining Area
The air-conditioned dining area is roomy enough to seat up to 24 guests! If this isn’t enough, or you’d prefer to enjoy your meals in the fresh sea breeze, an equally comfortable seating area is available on the upper deck, by the bar, in or out of the sun.

The Galley (cooking area) is well equipped and stocked to cater for a variety of Thai and international cuisine. MV Pawara's chefs take pride in their kitchen and keep it spotless for maximum hygiene.

The Sun Deck
The large sundeck has plenty of room (more than 72 sq m) for stretching, relaxation and sunbathing. This is a perfect area for those who love to warm up in the sun. Thai style mattresses are provided to maximise your comfort.

The Dive Deck
The (6m X 6.5m) gearing up area and the (1.5m X 6.5m) dive platform has been purposely designed to offer space and convenience to enhance your diving experience. Hooks, shelves, hangers are provided to place / keep /hang your diving gear. A Bauer 2 X K14 is used to fill the 40 onboard 12L dive tanks. The airy open space will allow your wetsuit to dry up for your next dive. Outdoor shower facilities are available on the platform for a quick wash off. Four staff members are allocated to look after you while you gear up.
