MV Pindito is a 42 meter teak wood mono-hull Pinisi schooner exlusively built with divers and their comfort in mind. She was extensively re-fitted and re-furnished as recently as 2006.
Cabins The Double Bed Cabins The MV Pindito features six double bed cabins, all located on the lower deck. The cabins have en suite bathrooms with ample hot water.
The cabins are approximately 10 sqm in size and the beds measure 140 x 200 cm. All the double bedded cabins can be furnished with an extra bed, that way children can stay in the same cabin as their parents, the extra bed may also be used as a large shelf for extra storage space.
The Twin Bed Cabins The two twin bed cabins are also located on the lower deck and features en suite bathrooms with hot water supply. With their 10 sqm size they are fairly spacious, the beds measure 90 x 200 cm.
The recent refit has turned the cabins into cozy living areas where one happily spend some private time in between dives or rest with a book at the end of a day full of underwater excitement.
All the cabins also feature:
- Ample storage space for your belongings.
- 5 x 220 volt sockets - 24 hours per day.
Individually controlled air conditioning.- Daily maid service.
- Bedding and towels.
- Portholes.
Common Areas The Lounge The spacious lounge is located on the main deck is airconditioned and offers a spectacular view through its many large windows.
The lounge is not only serving as a dining area but also a chill out quarter as it features a flat screen tv and an audio system with a selection of the latest films and music. In the lounge you will also find various power sockets for your laptops, cameras and other electronic devices.
In connection with the lounge you will find the computer work station, here you may work on your digital pictures and videos, just remember to bring your own blank cd's and dvd's!
Very often a slide show of photos will be displayed right after the diving so you may review what was seen just a few minutes ago. The lounge also features a small library of underwater species reference material as well as a selection of novels that you may borrow throughout the dive trip.
The Dive Center The Pindito's "dive center" consists of a compressor room that also functions as a high quality, well equipped and organized dive "work shop".
The dive area is located aft on the main deck and is extremely spacious, this is where the dive guides will give you a briefing before each dive. Here you'll also find a fresh water shower and large fresh water tanks for rinsing your camera and other equipment.
Once all the divers are ready it's time for the crew to stow everything onto the zodiacs, which can easily be accessed over the side-stairs of the Pindito. Throughout the dives the zodiacs will accompany you for comfort and safety reasons.
